What is a name pre-search?

Before you pay for an official NUANS report, we check your proposed names for obvious conflicts with existing businesses. If we find a problem, we suggest up to five alternatives at no extra cost.

How much does it cost?

The pre-search is $9.99 plus HST for up to three name choices.

Is a pre-search the same as a NUANS report?

No. A pre-search helps you pick a name that is likely to be approved. To incorporate a named corporation or register a business name, you still need an official NUANS report ($50).

What happens after the pre-search?
